what is up with these offers on craigslist? They seem to be fishing for desperate, yet super-skilled people ...

I read some guy bragging on one list , "I don't get out of bed for less than $45/hr" .....

uh ok, but who would do this work for $12/hr? ... and how do they expect to find quality people? Is it some kind of scam?

Yeah, that's weird.

I mean $45/hr is pretty much the standard, so I guess I could see $20/hr. My friends told me there's tons of work-for-free stuff out there which will pay as a partner if the business takes off. A friend of his helped make some widget for Facebook and made a mint - but he initially worked for free. Maybe it's something like that? Otherwise it just doesn't make any sense. No one that skilled would work for that little.
