craigslist bottom feeders
Required skills:

– Minimum 1 year of experience in Ruby on Rails development.
– Minimum of 2 years experience in web development.
– Working knowledge of Linux, HTML, CSS.
– Working knowledge of relational databases (MySQL).
– Working knowledge of Typical *nix tools.
– Excellent English communication and correspondence skills.
– Capable of working independently with self-motivation and direction.

Compensation: $14/hour
Telecommuting is ok.

* BSc/B.Tech Degree in IT Management / Computer Science/ Engineering or related discipline
* Minimum 5-6 years experience in the Internet industry a MUST
* Minimum 3-4 years experience as an IT manager, with a Team of 10 or more people.
* Advanced Skills in Quality Assurance, Version Control System (SVN or GIT), & Project Management Tool (Basecamp).
* Working knowledge of Linux
* Basic knowledge of Ruby on Rails, Apache, Perl, PHP, C++, MySQL, CSS, HTML - are all a plus, but not required.
* Excellent English communication and correspondence skills
* Proven track record working with technical development teams.
* Strong leadership personality and detailed oriented.
* Exceptional organization skills.
* Ability to solve problems creatively and independently by researching solutions and utilizing available resources.
* Ability to work with team members who are located globally.

Compensation: $12/hr
Telecommuting is ok.

what is up with these offers on craigslist? They seem to be fishing for desperate, yet super-skilled people ...

I read some guy bragging on one list , "I don't get out of bed for less than $45/hr" .....

uh ok, but who would do this work for $12/hr? ... and how do they expect to find quality people? Is it some kind of scam?

they are going after the international market clearly
but can they find anyone reliable at that wage?
The dollar is so weak now that $12/hr is worth less outside the country

who do they want? India? Kazakhstan?
I would apply but the money is shit and they might not pay . I have no experience and want to learn
